Now the murdered and maimed children of Syria don't seem so far away.

One of the worst and most unspeakable crimes in history has just occurred about 15 miles away from here Calling ourselves "civilized" is a repulsive exaggeration.   The culture bred this loathsome embodiment of evil and must take responsibility.

This cannot be fully understood until every gun-control opponent in this country shares the experience of the parent who sent his happy 6 year old off to school this AM.

This should be a National Day of Mourning
